5.3 magnitude earthquake occurs off Greece’s Aegean Sea coast

The offshore quake took place at 14:51 TSI on Sunday 51 km southeast of Ammouliani Island, Central Macedonia, Greece, according to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.

The earthquake, which shook Northern Greece, was felt even in areas of Attica but no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the quake.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said that the earthquake was of the magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale. (ILKHA)
