Turkish presidency to hold panel on Turkey-Albania relations

Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications will organize “Panel on Relations between Turkey and Albania” in Albania on Friday.

The panel, which will take place in Tirana ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to Albania on January 17, will discuss how to take bilateral relations, which have recently gained an impetus, to the next level, and evaluate potential areas of cooperation.

Member of TRT Board of Directors and journalist Meryem İlayda Atlas Çetin will moderate the panel, in which Director of European and Balkan Research Institute at University of New York Tirana Lindita Latifi Xhanari, Faculty Member at İstanbul Commerce University Prof. Hasan Basri Yalçın, Faculty Member at Haliç University Assoc. Prof. Aylin Ünver Noi and Ambassador of Albania Genti Gazheli will attend as speakers.

The panel will address the potential areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as Turkey-Albania cooperation in the fight against terrorism, Turkey’s policy in the Balkans, economic cooperation, and the contributions of the two countries to stability in the Balkans. (ILKHA)
