Expressing his pleasure to be materializing yet another project that is groundbreaking in terms of the Turkish economy, industry and education, Erdoğan said: “The project OIZ Vocational Training Centers, conducted jointly by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, meets a basic need of our country.”

“We allocate the lion’s share to education in every budget we prepare”

Organized Industrial Zones, which have become the engines of production and employment in Turkey, have assumed responsibility in the field of education as well by means of this project, the President stated. “I wish for this nice project – which successfully combines theory and practice and reinforces the public-private solidarity in education – to lead to auspicious developments for our country, nation, students and teachers as well as our business community.”

Stressing that the lion’s share has always been allocated to education in all the budgets prepared since 2002, Erdoğan said: “For example, the share allocated to education from the budget rose from 7.5 billion Turkish liras in 2002 to 274 billion 384 million Turkish liras in 2022. Increasing the number of classrooms from 343 thousand to some 606 thousand, we have equipped every part of our country with modern institutions of education. With the 714,429 appointments thus far, we have fulfilled our schools’ need for teacher. Hopefully, we will be appointing 15 thousand more teachers by the end of this month.”

“High-quality education is the assurance of our bright future”

“High-quality education is the assurance of our bright future,” Erdoğan underscored. “The youth of this country deserve the best in every area. It is through education that our nation can reach a position where it is capable globally and has a say on a global scale. To this end, we attach special importance to vocational training for the strengthening of our economy and growth of employment.” (ILKHA)
