Abu Hawash broke his hunger strike on Tuesday evening after reaching an agreement with the zionist occupation authorities to release him on February 26, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and ex-Detainees’ Affairs said.

Hisham Abu Hawash, 41, was arrested on October 27, 2020, and held under administrative detention.

Abu Hawash began a hunger strike on August 17, 2021 in protest against his unfair administrative detention without a charge or a trial by Zionist occupation regime.

During the 141 days, Hisham entered a coma and lost speech, hearing, and sight.

He had also been losing considerable weight, weighing around 39 kilograms.

The zionist occupation authorities administratively detain about 500 prisoners, from the 4,650 Palestinians it holds in its prisons, according to Palestinian human rights organizations. (ILKHA)
