Turkey arrests 19 ISIL-linked suspects in Balıkesir-based operation

Turkish police launched simultaneous operations in Adana, Ankara, Balıkesir, Istanbul, Konya, and Şanlıurfa provinces after the Chief Prosecutor’s Office in Balıkesir had issued arrest warrants for 19 suspects, who were allegedly acted within the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

While 16 suspects have been taken into custody, security forces are still looking for the remaining fugitive suspects.

The suspects are being interrogated in the provincial police departments.

The suspects will be transferred to the courthouse when their official procedures at the police department are completed. (ILKHA)
