The Orphan Foundation, an international help organization based in Diyarbakır, Turkey, has taken on the task of being a bridge between rich and poor, acting with the mission of delivering humanitarian aid to those who are persecuted or otherwise in need, regardless of their religion, language, race, or sect.

The foundation distributed food parcels, blankets and electric heaters to the families in Erbil’s Kushtepe town where floods triggered by torrential rains claimed 12 lives and caused damages to properties last week.

Speaking to Ilke News Agency, Erkut Özbey, a representative of the foundation, said: “We distributed food parcels, blankets and electric heaters to people affected by the flood disaster. The impacts of the floods can still be seen in the region and the people here are in a very difficult situation. The houses of many people were destroyed and their belongings became unusable due to floods. Here we see that everyone is trying to band up the wounds together. May Allah bless the benefactors.”

The families thanked the foundation’s officials for their support. (ILKHA)
