House sales in Turkey rises by 14.9% in October

In October, 137 thousand 401 houses were sold in Turkey, the country’s statistical agency said in a statement on Monday.

In Turkey, house sales increased by 14.9% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 137 thousand 401. İstanbul had the highest share with 19.0% and 26 thousand 41 house sales.

The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 13 thousand 466 house sales and İzmir with 8 thousand 218 house sales with the share of 9.8% and 6.0% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Hakkari with 22, Ardahan with 45 and Bayburt 84 house sales.

Houses sales decreased by 15.2% in January-October 2021

In January-October period, house sales decreased by 15.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 1 million 86 thousand 539.

Mortgaged house sales became 28 thousand 49

In Turkey, mortgaged house sales increased by 9.7% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 28 thousand 49. Mortgaged house sales had 20.4% share of all house sales. In January-October period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 60.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 209 thousand 904.

Other house sales became 109 thousand 352

In Turkey, other house sales increased by 16.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 109 thousand 352. Other house sales had 79.6% share of all house sales. In January-October period, other house sales increased by 17.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 876 thousand 635.

41 thousand 914 houses were sold for the first time

In Turkey, first time house sales increased by 13.4% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 41 thousand 914. First time sales had 30.5% share of all house sales in Turkey. In January-October period, first time house sales decreased by 16.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 329 thousand 70.

Second hand house sales became 95 thousand 487

In Turkey, second hand house sales increased by 15.6% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 95 thousand 487. Second hand sales had 69.5% share of all house sales in Turkey. In January-October period, second hand house sales decreased by 14.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 757 thousand 469.

In October, 5 thousand 893 houses were sold to foreigners

House sales to foreigners increased by 12.1% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 5 thousand 893. House sales to foreigners had 4.3% share of all house sales. İstanbul ranked first with 2 thousand 464 sales to foreigners. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with a thousand 385 house sales and Ankara with 359 house sales to foreigners.

In January-October period, house sales to foreigners increased by 38.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 43 thousand 372.

House sales were mostly made to Iran citizens according to nationalities

In October, Iran citizens bought a thousand 265 houses from Turkey. The followers of Iran citizens were Iraq with 926 house sales and Russia citizens with 543 house sales. (ILKHA)
