“On the occasion of the birthday of Islam’s Great Leader and Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), I extend my warmest congratulations to all Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world,” Barzani said. “I hope that this revered day brings peace, prosperity, and happiness to all humanity and encourages everyone to further cherish love and kindness among all of us.”
“On this day, let us come together by following the messages of peace, humanity, compassion, and kindness of Prophet Muhammad and work together, on the basis of His high values, council, and guidance, for a better present and a more promising future for humanity, and promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence,” Barzani added.
He also wished felicitations to everyone on this day.
The Mawlid Al-Nabi celebrations are held every year in Erbil, Kurdistan’s capital, with the participation of millions of people.
This year, the celebrations will be organized at a square near Erbil citadel on Monday. (ILKHA)
