Police seize 81 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey

A total of 81 kg of heroin was seized during a search in a house in the Tuşba district, the Provincial Police Department said in a statement.

The suspected drug dealers will be brought before the court after the police investigation is completed.

Turkey maintains strict laws against the use, possession, or trafficking of illegal drugs. If convicted under these offenses, one could receive a heavy fine or a prison sentence of 4 to 24 years. (ILKHA)
