Yapıcıoğlu, who participated in the 'Rehber Gündem' program presented by Olcay Ersoy on Rehber TV, made important statements about Turkey's political, economic, and social issues.
Drawing attention to the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections in Turkey, Yapıcıoğlu said: "After the decrease in the number of coronavirus cases and the decision to normalize, the people were so relieved that they acted as if the disease was over. In the last two and a half months, we had contacts in different provinces in 5-6 different geographical regions. In all the places we go, without exception, the people are very comfortable. As if the virus is over, there is no mask, they hug and shake hands. We made our warnings wherever we went. The cases come to such a level that students may have to take distance education again. If the number of cases rises, the traders that have just started to recover may face a closure again. Considering all this, we would like to appeal to the citizens: Please follow the precautions. Do not act as if the disease is over. If the vast majority of doctors say that there is no other solution but vaccination and that vaccination is necessary, we should obey doctors’ advice. We cannot force anyone to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. We are not anti-vaxxers, we recommend the vaccine, but we do not agree with those who say that the vaccine should be mandatory.” (ILKHA)
