Russia reports record daily rise in new COVID-related deaths since outbreak

The number of confirmed cases has reached 5,538,142, an increase of 23,543 deaths in the last 24 hours.

5,017,321 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but it is now the country with the fifth most cases in the world, after the United States, Brazil, India, and France.

The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.

Global death toll from coronavirus have reached 3,971,671, with 183,431,733 cases and 167,939,955 recoveries. (ILKHA)
