“Any Palestinian who will arrive at the Mosque’s gates has the right to enter and pray inside it,” Sheikh Bakirat said, denouncing the israeli attempts to impose its control over the Islamic holy site.

He warned of repeated attempts by the zionist regime to forcibly control the administration of the Mosque’s affairs.

The Awqaf official attributed the israeli persistence in interfering in the Mosque’s affairs to some Arab countries’ connivance and the US support for the zionist regime that helps the Jewish temple groups and facilitates their activities.

He accused the zionist regime of trying to limit the numbers of Muslim worshipers arriving at the Mosque through imposing security cordons on the West Bank and the Old City of Jerusalem. (ILKHA)
