The European Yetim Eli (Orphan Help), which aids the orphans and the needy across the World, is continuing its relief efforts in the Kaliro District in the Eastern Region of Uganda, distributing the food, bicycles, and clothes, building mosques, schools, and freshwater wells and carrying out the projects that aim to help the disabled.
The organization provided bicycles to the needy in a village of the Kaliro district as a part of its charity works in the region.
Speaking to İLKHA News Agency about the charitable activities that the European Yetim Eli is conducting in the region, the chairman of the organization Abdurrahman Altun said: “We are now in the Kaliro district of Uganda. We distribute bicycles donated by our philanthropists to the residents of the village. People use bicycles not only for transportation but also for carting their basic stuff with them. May Allah be pleased with our philanthropists.”
“The village needs a school”
“There is not a single school in the village that has over 600 population, depriving hundreds of children from school education. If our benefactors help us with this, we can build a school for the children of this village on the vacant lot next to the mosque,” Altun stated.
Noting that there are thousands of people in need of food and shelter in Africa, Altun called on benefactors to fund the charitable activities in the region. (ILKHA)
