According to local sources, police officers in Bab al-Asbat took Khuwais to a detention center in the Old City where she was handed an order banning her entry to the Aqsa Mosque for one week.

The police also ordered Khuwais to return after a week to receive a renewed Aqsa entry ban order.

Last December, Khuwais completed an entry ban order that deprived her of praying at the Aqsa Mosque for 14 months. However, she was exposed to detention and interrogation several times at the time when she performed her prayers on the streets of the Old City.

Meanwhile, police forces on the same day kidnaped two child brothers during their presence near their home in Hizma town in the northeast of Jerusalem. They were identified as Aws (8 years) and Mohamed (6 years) Najib. (ILKHA)
