A fire in residential building kills 8 people in Russia

“The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the reported death of eight people, including a child, whose bodies were discovered while extinguishing the fire," the regional Investigative Committee said in a statement.

A total of 90 residents were evacuated from the burning building due to heavy smoke.

An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire, according to the local reports. (ILKHA)
