Russia reports 587 new deaths from COVID-19

The country’s death toll from the virus has reached 49,151, an increase of 587 deaths in the last 24 hours.

2,202,540 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but currently, Russia has the second-highest number of confirmed cases in Europe after France, and the fourth-highest in the world after the United States, India and Brazil.

The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.
