According to Asra Media Office, the health condition of prisoner Akhras has reached a critical stage in Kaplan Hospital because of his prolonged hunger strike and his refusal to take any vitamins or fluids.

His health has been described as extremely worrying and worsening as he suffers from serious physical weakness, repeated convulsions and loss of consciousness, constants pains in the head and stomach, and difficulty in recognizing and hearing others.

Doctors have also warned that the hunger striker’s heart may stop any moment.

Akhras was kidnaped from his home on July 27 and has been held since then under an administrative detention order, with no indictment or trial. (ILKHA)
