Russia's death toll from coronavirus exceeds 24,000

The country’s death toll from the virus has reached 24,002, an increase of 279 deaths in the last 24 hours.

1,065,199 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but it is now the country with the fourth-most cases in the world, after the United States, Brazil and India.

The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.

Global death toll from coronavirus have reached 1,110,198, with 39,649,566 cases and 29,689,506 recoveries. (ILKHA)
