7 civilians killed in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan

7 civilians, including 2 children and 2 women, have been killed and 5 others injured when a roadside bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s Ghor province on Friday.

A minivan carrying civilians tore apart when it touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), the local officials said.

On the other hand, 4 people were injured in another explosion in the Chamkani region of Paktia province.

No groups have so far claimed the responsibility for the attacks.

Since 2001 when the United States invaded Afghanistan, over 100,000 people have been killed in the war, including more than 4,000 ISAF soldiers and civilian contractors, more than 62,000 Afghan national security forces, 31,000 civilians and even more Taliban members. (ILKHA)
