The number of confirmed coronavirus cases surpasses 668,000 in South Africa

29 more people have died due to the pandemic over the past 24 hours, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 16,312.

The number of infections has risen to 668,529, an increase of 1,480 cases in the last 24 hours.
