Coronavirus: Turkey reports 49 new deaths, 1,642 cases in the last 24 hours

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Thursday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 274,943, after 1,642 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While 1,041 patients are in critical condition, 248,087 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

7,476,087 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
