Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 5,691

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 230,873 after 982 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

214,535 people suffering from the virus have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

582 patients are in critical condition, according to the minister.

4,800,823 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
