Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 5,613

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 226,100, after 927 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

209,487 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

While 1,249 patients are in critical condition, there are some 379 patients who are mechanically ventilated.

4,572,688 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
