Non-domestic producer price index rises by 14.82% annually in Turkey

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) increased by 14.82% annually and 0.95% monthly in Turkey, the country's statistical institute said a statement on Monday.

According to the statement, ND-PPI (2010=100) increased by 0.95% monthly, by 15.34% on December of the previous year, by 14.82% on same month of the previous year and by 6.82% on the twelve months moving averages basis in June 2020.

Manufacturing increased by 14.77% annually

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 16.45% for mining and quarrying, by 14.77% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.

 The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 13.00% for intermediate goods, by 22.84% for durable consumer goods, by 15.94% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 37.01% for energy, increased by 19.13% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 0.98% monthly

 ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry decreased by 0.32% for mining and quarrying, increased by 0.98% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 0.22% for intermediate goods, by 0.54% for durable consumer goods, by 0.29% for non-durable consumer goods, by 36.01% for energy, by 1.35% for capital goods, monthly.

The only annual decrease was in coke and refined petroleum products by 37.01%

The only rate of annual decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry was for coke and refined petroleum products by 37.01%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other manufactured goods by 37.33%, for tobacco products by 24.52%, for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 20.09%.

The highest monthly decrease was in basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 1.15%

 The highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 1.15%, for food products by 1.05%, for tobacco products by 0.99. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 36.01%, for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 1.69%, for chemicals and chemical products by 1.34%.
