Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 5,475

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 218,717, after 918 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

201,013 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

While 1,231 patients are in critical condition, there are some 394 patients who are mechanically ventilated.

4,232,067 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
