The number of confirmed coronavirus cases surpasses 200,000 in Turkey

In a statement published on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 201,098, after 1,192 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

175,422 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

While 1,035 patients are in critical condition, there are some 362 patients who are mechanically ventilated.

3,433,963 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
