Death toll from coronavirus reaches 4,927 in Turkey

In a statement published on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 186,493, after 1,248 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

158,828 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

While 781 patients are being treated in intensive care units, there are some 318 patients who are mechanically ventilated. 

A total of 2,904,744 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
