Fire incident during naval exercises leaves at least 19 off SE Iran

According to a statement, after the incident in the southern waters on Sunday, 19 crew onboard the vessel were killed and 15 others were injured.

The injured crew members were immediately taken to Imam Ali Hospital of Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan province.

It was not immediately clear how many people were on the board when the incident took place.

The technical examinations to determine the circumstances of the incident is underway, the statement added. (ILKHA)
