Coronavirus in the United States: The number of deaths nears 80,000

8,638,846 people have been tested, of which 1,322,163 tested positive in the country.

The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Italy and Spain.

New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 340,705 confirmed cases, with at least 26,585 deaths.
