Russia reports more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases in another record single-day

1,537 people have until now died from coronavirus in the country, an increase of 86 deaths in the past 24 hours.

21,327 patients suffering from coronavirus have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.

Russia is now the seventh most-affected country in terms of infections, having surpassed Turkey, Iran and China.

Last week, Prime Minister Mishustin announced that he himself had tested positive for the virus. President Putin as a result signed an executive order to appoint First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov as Acting Prime Minister while Mishustin recovers. (ILKHA)
