A mayor and his wife assaulted with guns at their home in southwestern Turkey

Şenel and his wife were taken to hospital and health status of them was announced to be good.

Mayor Mumtaz Şenel underwent an operation and was in good condition, the municipality of Yeşilova said on its Twitter account.

On the other hand, the Governor's Office of Burdur has announced in a written statement that two attackers have been detained and the efforts to solve the incident is underway. (ILKHA)
