“Federal authorities do not seem to see or hear that the reality is that hospitals are in a massive shortage of all protective gear and drugs needed to treat COVID-19 patients and other categories of equipment like syringes,” the statement said.

The coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have spread from the People's Republic of China to Belgium on February 4, when its first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Brussels. The pandemic only started on March 1, when many skiers who had spent the school holiday around carnival in the North of Italy were allowed to return to work or school.

Belgium since the beginning of the pandemic, 828 people have died from the diseases. With 1384 new Covid-19 infections, the number of confirmed cases has been 13,964 in the country. (ILKHA)
