Non-domestic producer price index increases by 12.38% annually in Turkey

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) increased by 0.77% monthly, by 3.18% on December of the previous year, by 12.38% on same month of the previous year and by 11.19% on the twelve months moving averages basis in February 2020.

Manufacturing increased by 12.26% annually

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 17.90% for mining and quarrying, by 12.26% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 10.78% for intermediate goods, by 19.53% for durable consumer goods, by 11.97% for non-durable consumer goods, by 3.90% for energy, by 13.74% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 0.74% monthly

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 2.30% for mining and quarrying, by 0.74% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 1.16% for intermediate goods, increased by 2.14% for durable consumer goods, increased by 0.77% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 6.17% for energy, increased by 0.44% for capital goods, monthly.

The lowest annual increase was in coke and refined petroleum products by 3.90%

The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 3.90%, for printing and recording services by 5.27%, for basic metals by 8.32%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other manufactured goods by 25.49%, for tobacco products by 21.49%, for metal ores by 20.24%.

The only monthly decrease was in coke and refined petroleum products by 6.17%

The only rate of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry was for coke and refined petroleum products by 6.17%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other manufactured goods by 5.29%, for metal ores by 3.62%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 3.32%.
