Turkey's red meat production realizes as 291 thousand 565 tons in the 4th quarter

In Turkey, total red meat production has increased by 12.3% compared with the same quarter of previous year and it was estimated as 291 thousand 565 tons, Turkish Statistical Institute announced in a statement on Tuesday.

It increased by 7.4% compared with the previous year and became 1 million 201 thousand 469 tons. In total red meat production, the amount produced by slaughterhouses was 158 thousand 911 tons, according to the statement.

While cattle meat production increased by 9.5% and estimated as 262 thousand 476 tons, sheep meat production increased 45.9% and estimated as 26 thousand 123 tons, and goat meat production increased by 57.5% tons and estimated as 2 thousand 967 tons compared with the same quarter of previous year.
