Rusya: Turkey did not take part in joint patrol for second times

Russian military police units patrolled areas of the Haseke region bordering Turkey alone, said Major General Yuri Borenkov, chief of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria.

 As the Turkish troops did not participate in the joint patrol mission, Russian military police units patrolled areas of the Haseke region bordering Turkey alone, Borenkov said.

According to the agreement dealt between Ankara and Moscow on Oct. 22, the joint patrols should conduct within a depth of up to 10 km inside Syrian territory east and west of the area under Turkey's exclusive control, or 120 km of border between Tal Abyad and Ras al Ayn.

On February 3, at least 7 Turkish soldiers were killed and 9 injured when Syrian regime artillery fire targeted Turkish surveillance point in Idlib province of northern Syria.

Retaliatory fire from Turkey army killed at least 13 Syrian government soldiers, the local sources reported. (ILKHA)
