The quake hit off the coast of the Marmaris district in Muğla province at 08.43 a.m. the authority said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was specified as 170 kilometers away from the district center, at a depth of approximately 17 kilometers in the Mediterranean Sea.
On 24 January, The 6.8-magnitude occurred in Elazığ province of eastern Turkey. The earthquake's epicenter was close to the town of Sivrice and felt in the neighboring provinces of Diyarbakır, Malatya and Adıyaman, and the neighboring countries of Armenia, Syria and Iran.
