Death toll rises to 45 in Albania earthquake

The number of deaths in the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck central Albania on Tuesday has risen to at least 40, with more than 650 injured, the Albania's Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing. Albanian Red Cross staff and volunteers are working alongside government response teams, to assist the affected population. (ILKHA)
