Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to attend D-8 meeting in Cairo

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to attend the 21st Meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers in Cairo tomorrow, where discussions will focus on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, regional challenges, and opportunities for cooperation among member states.

The Developing-8 (D-8) organization, which aims to foster economic and developmental collaboration among its members, will address several key topics during the meeting. These include the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, ongoing regional issues, and efforts to strengthen partnerships.

The agenda will also cover the organization's progress report, the election of the next Secretary-General, the approval of the secretariat’s budget, and preparations for the upcoming 11th D-8 Summit.

Minister Fidan’s participation highlights Türkiye’s commitment to addressing urgent regional concerns while promoting dialogue and cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
