The provincial health director, Sayed Usman Hamidi, confirmed that 35 miners are under the debris, with rescue teams and health personnel dispatched to the site to assist in the rescue efforts.

Preliminary reports indicate that several miners were working in a coal mine in the Dara-i-Sufi Payin district when a part of the mine caved in, trapping several miners under the rubble. A statement released by the provincial police office on Sunday said that police personnel, local officials, and villagers have rushed to the site to aid in the rescue operations.

Efforts are ongoing to rescue the trapped miners and provide them with necessary medical assistance. (ILKHA)
