The discussion centered on the latest developments in Syria and the broader region, with both leaders exchanging views on the international community's role in ensuring an orderly political transition.

Fidan and Guterres also addressed critical measures to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to war-affected areas and the reconstruction of Syria. They emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts by the United Nations and other global stakeholders in supporting Syria during its transitional phase.

The conversation came after a 10-day offensive by anti-regime forces led to the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government over the weekend. Both leaders discussed actionable steps to aid Syria's political stabilization and the establishment of a sustainable framework for governance.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to regional stability and cooperation with international institutions, underscoring its active involvement in Syria's post-conflict recovery. (ILKHA)
