President Erdoğan discusses regional stability with Iraqi Prime Minister al-Sudani

According to a statement from the Directorate of Communications, President Erdoğan emphasized Türkiye's priority to maintain calm beyond its borders and avoid harming civilian populations. He reiterated the importance of Syria's unity, stability, and territorial integrity, noting that both Türkiye and Iraq share common ground on these issues.

Erdoğan also called for the Syrian regime to engage in a political process to prevent further deterioration of the situation. He stated that Türkiye has taken and will continue to take measures to prevent the PKK and its extensions from exploiting developments in line with Türkiye's national security and interests.
