The strikes represent the deadliest escalation since the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel was brokered last Wednesday.

The Israeli aggression also targeted other areas in southern Lebanon, including Rihan Heights, the outskirts of Jebaa and Houmine Al-Fawqa, and near the village of Arnoun.

Hezbollah Responds to Israeli Provocations

In response to repeated Israeli breaches of the ceasefire, Hezbollah conducted a precision operation targeting the Israeli military position in Roueisat Al-Alam in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills. In a statement titled "Statement No. 1," the resistance group described its actions as defensive, aimed at deterring ongoing Israeli provocations and violations.

“We have cautioned and will hold Israel responsible for its actions,” Hezbollah warned, emphasizing its commitment to protecting Lebanon's sovereignty.

The resistance movement described Israel's actions as a continuation of its pattern of aggression, which has included over 100 documented ceasefire violations within a week, according to sources from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). These violations have included airstrikes, artillery shelling, drone surveillance, and the destruction of Lebanese infrastructure, resulting in the deaths of four people, including a Lebanese soldier, and multiple injuries.

UNIFIL Confirms Israeli Violations

A UNIFIL official confirmed that Israel's breaches of the ceasefire agreement range from demolitions and road excavations to the use of drones and setting fire to vehicles. The force has documented approximately 100 violations since the ceasefire went into effect, underscoring the Israeli military's disregard for its commitments.

Resistance Stands Firm Against Aggression

Hezbollah’s leadership reaffirmed its readiness to respond to any aggression, vowing to hold Israel accountable for its repeated attacks on Lebanese territory. The movement also reiterated its warning that continued violations of the ceasefire would provoke further defensive measures.

As tensions rise, Hezbollah remains steadfast in its role as Lebanon's shield against occupation and aggression, echoing widespread calls among the Lebanese population for Israel to be held accountable for its persistent provocations and acts of war. (ILKHA)
