The attack occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Monday, according to a military source cited by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The source reported that the aerial assault was launched from Lebanese airspace and targeted crossing points along the Syrian-Lebanese border in al-Qusayr. These areas have been previously targeted in similar strikes.

The attack caused material damage in addition to the injuries sustained by the two civilians.

The Israeli military has carried out numerous airstrikes in Syria in recent years, often citing efforts to prevent Iranian weapons transfers and the entrenchment of Iranian-aligned forces. However, such strikes frequently result in civilian casualties and material losses, further straining tensions in the region.

This latest aggression underscores the ongoing volatility in areas along the Syria-Lebanon border, with local populations bearing the brunt of the escalating conflict. Syrian officials have condemned the attacks as violations of national sovereignty and international law.

Investigations into the incident and efforts to assess the full extent of the damage are ongoing. (ILKHA)
