His statement came during a daily press briefing on Friday evening, highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.

Dujarric stressed the dire need for appropriate shelter for Palestinians in Gaza as winter approaches, with rain and cold temperatures exacerbating the already critical conditions. He noted that the UN and its partners are making urgent efforts to deliver tents and other emergency supplies to those in need.

The blockade in northern Gaza has left hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians with rapidly increasing needs that remain unmet. *“Their needs are escalating, and we are struggling to meet them due to the blockade,” Dujarric stated, underlining the severe restrictions on aid delivery.

The situation in Gaza continues to draw international attention, with calls for easing the blockade to allow lifesaving humanitarian assistance to reach those affected by the ongoing conflict. (ILKHA)
