The attack took place at 10:00 pm on Tuesday when Hezbollah fighters fired an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) at the invading Israeli troops. In response, the Israeli military command dispatched a rescue force to extract the wounded and deceased soldiers from the ambush site.

However, Hezbollah's fighters fired another ATGM at the rescue team within 30 minutes, resulting in additional casualties. A second rescue force was sent to the area at 11:10 pm, but again, Hezbollah fighters launched a third ATGM, causing further fatalities and injuries among the Israeli personnel.

The confrontation escalated further when Hezbollah launched a salvo of rocket artillery shells at Israeli occupation forces east of Markaba at 12:15 am. The rockets targeted an assembly point of Israeli forces in the al-Marj military site, located in the Hunin Valley, in occupied Palestine.

Hezbollah's ongoing operations are part of its defensive efforts against the Israeli military's ground aggression in southern Lebanon. The group continues to hold positions in towns such as Khiam, Markaba, and Chamaa, in its resistance against Israeli forces. (ILKHA)
