The strikes, conducted in the early hours of Saturday, targeted what the group described as a "strategic site" in the city.

In a statement, the Islamic Resistance framed the operation as a direct response to recent Israeli military actions, which it claims have caused significant civilian casualties among Palestinians and Lebanese, including women, children, and the elderly.

"This operation demonstrates our commitment to resisting occupation and defending our people in Palestine and Lebanon," the statement read, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

The group also indicated a strategy of increasing the frequency of attacks on Israeli positions. "Our actions are part of a larger plan to maintain pressure on enemy strongholds," the Resistance said, vowing to continue targeting strategic locations.

These strikes come amid heightened tensions in the region, with escalating violence in Gaza and southern Lebanon drawing widespread condemnation and international concern.

The drone strikes underscore the growing involvement of regional actors in the broader conflict, raising fears of a wider escalation. Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the reported strikes in Eilat.

The Islamic Resistance’s announcement signals an ongoing commitment to what it calls its "path of resistance," positioning the group as a key player in the shifting dynamics of Middle Eastern geopolitics.  (ILKHA)
