The manufacturing sector was a major driver of the overall price increase, with a 32.85% annual rise. Mining and quarrying industries saw the highest annual growth rate at 40.11%, followed by water supply at 43.19%.

On a monthly basis, manufacturing prices increased by 1.61%, while electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning prices declined by 1.56%.

The continued upward trend in producer prices raises concerns about potential inflationary pressures on consumer prices in the coming months.

The Turkish government has been grappling with high inflation for several years, and these latest figures suggest that the challenge persists. (ILKHA)
