Following reports of migrants stranded in life rafts in these areas, Coast Guard boats were deployed to carry out the rescue operations.

The rescued migrants were safely brought ashore, where they received medical evaluations and assistance. In a separate operation near Muğla's Marmaris district, Coast Guard teams apprehended an additional 17 migrants.

The operations also targeted migrant smuggling networks. Authorities detained three suspected smugglers in the Datça and Marmaris districts of Muğla, allegedly involved in organizing illegal crossings.

The rescued migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for processing, while investigations into the suspected smugglers continue. (ILKHA)
