Abu Safia, who has remained at the hospital despite repeated orders and threats to evacuate by the Israeli occupation, called for the establishment of humanitarian corridors to support medical access in Gaza.

In an emotional statement, Dr. Abu Safia shared the personal toll of the conflict, saying: “Our children are killed before our eyes, and we bury them with our own hands. They killed my son. Because we are delivering a humanitarian message, our children are being killed.” He further explained that, due to ongoing attacks and limited space, he had to bury his son by the wall of Kamal Adwan Hospital.

As the humanitarian crisis escalates, Dr. Abu Safia urged for “the opening of safe corridors for medical teams to enter, protection of current medical personnel, and the release of detained doctors.” The call underscores the severe challenges faced by healthcare professionals and the dire conditions for civilians in Gaza.
