The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, confirmed that they successfully killed the commander of Israel’s 401st Armored Brigade, who had been overseeing Israeli military operations in the besieged area. This is a major blow to the Israeli forces, who have been intensifying their ground invasion of Gaza.

In a tactical move, Hamas fighters targeted a vehicle carrying Israeli soldiers with an anti-tank missile. After disabling the vehicle, the fighters captured Israeli military ammunition, converting it into explosives. They planted the explosives on a road and detonated them as another Israeli military vehicle passed by. Resistance fighters, lying in ambush, then opened fire on the vehicle using automatic weapons, further intensifying the assault on Israeli troops.

Al-Qassam also reported that a Hamas sniper successfully hit an Israeli soldier during the clashes. Sources suggest the soldier is now brain-dead as a result of the strike.

Despite these significant losses, the Israeli army has refrained from disclosing the exact number of casualties suffered in Jabaliya. However, reports from local sources reveal that Israeli helicopters have been continuously transferring wounded soldiers to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and hospitals in Tel Aviv, indicating the scale of the damage inflicted.

Today, Al-Qassam Brigades released new footage showing the destruction of an Israeli military vehicle through an explosive trap. The footage also captures the moment two Israeli military vehicles and a tank were struck with shoulder-fired missiles, further highlighting the effectiveness of Hamas' defensive tactics.

In response to the escalating situation, Israel’s mini war cabinet has convened an emergency meeting at the Ministry of Defense, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in attendance. As the situation unfolds, it is clear that the resilience and determination of the Palestinian resistance continue to pose formidable challenges to the Israeli forces, who have failed to make decisive gains in Gaza.

The ongoing battle in Jabaliya underscores the unwavering resolve of the Palestinian people in defending their land, and the heavy toll that Israeli occupation forces are now paying for their aggression. (ILKHA)
